I will be writing my paper on Oliver Stone. The movies I have selected are Nixon, Heaven and Earth and Any Given Sunday. The fisrt thing that caught my attention to Stone, while browsing through the multitude of directors we could chose from was the list of movies I had to chose from. While with many directors I have liked 1 or 2 of thier movies I liked almost everything listed for Stone. Either I have seen it or wanted to see it. While in the very premature stages of research for this paper I have come across some very interesting inforamtion about Stone. The fat that he was in vietnam intrigues me and the fact that even with his success he still tends to dabble in the drug scene facinates me. While having a colorful past but have also left it in the past, I know what types of creativity that comes out while under the influence of anything. Stones uniqueness, balls and contoversy grabbed me hook line and sinker.
